If you have recently updated your Apple IOS device to version 18, you may have trouble accessing the "Okranet" Wi-Fi network. This is because of the new iOS version’s privacy feature called "MAC Address Rotation". This feature needs to be disabled under the wireless network settings for the "Okranet" network.
Instructions for disabling the feature:
- Open the Settings app, then tap Wi-Fi.
- If you aren’t currently connected to the network, tap Edit in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Tap the More Info button
next to “Okranet”.
- Configure the setting:
- If using iOS 18, iPadOS 18, VisionOS 2, or later, tap Private Wi-Fi Address, then tap "Off" to turn off this security setting for the Okranet wifi network.
- Select the “Allow Tracking” option to keep this setting off.
- You may need to re-register your device with Okranet after you turn off this setting.
Steps to Re-Register to OKRAnet
- Go to “Wi-Fi Settings” on your device.
- Select “OKRAnet” Wi-Fi network.
- The authentication method screen should automatically pop up, Select "Employee/Student Sign-in." If the authentication screen does not automatically pop up, please open a browser and navigate to https://nac.deltastate.edu.
- Read and accept the terms to continue.
- Enter your "username(ex: jdoe66)" and "password" and click "Submit"
- Faculty and Staff, please use your DSU email credentials
- Students, please use your OKRAmail credentials.
- The “Enabling Network Access” will display with the status bar.
- You’re now connected!
A user may have up to 7 devices registered under their account.
